It's official: I'm a blogger. For sometime, I've wanted to begin one, now's as good of a time as ever. I've always enjoyed journaling my thoughts & prayers & looking back to recognize the Lord's sovereignty, provision & presence over everything. So, as technology progresses, I suppose I will too & welcome anyone who wants to join us. I write not because we are important, or worth reading about, but because He is.
I am about to wrap up with my third semester of hygiene school & will graduate in May, Lord willing. I have come to recognize fears of unknown, my love for a profession involving people, & how much I truly cherish my classmates, professors & my education. Luke is continuing his career path at EY & recently became a senior.
Knee deep into nearly three years of marriage I experience daily & more clearly God's authorship & vision over marriage that is described in Ephesians 5:22-25. This isn't to say it's always a walk in the park, but the unconditional love & support (physically, spiritually, & emotionally) I receive from Luke is a daily reminder of love I don't deserve, & the even greater amounts of love, grace & mercy we receive from our eternal father. Luke became a student again this year & will graduate from the Austin Stone's Men's Development program in May. He has a deeper understanding of the bible as God's love story for us, how to read it more clearly, apply it, & what it truly means for us as believers. We have the opportunity to attend a gospel-centered church that doesn't shy away from His truths & live life with others on a daily basis. Highs & lows are a natural part of this temporary thing called life, but with supportive, loving family & friends & the foundation we stand on in Christ we've got the ability to "roll with the punches." Hoping everyone had a good Thanksgiving. More to come....
